Recently I was thinking of something from a GURPS sourcebook, but I can't remember which one. It was about a 19th centur scientist that had discovered that electricity could animate a dead frog's legs, and had somehow created a process to use something similar to animate a human corpse. I seem to remember him using his findings on himself, only to go crazy. The idea was duplicated and updated as the years went by, and the latest technology would allow someone to be animated with less of a chance of going insane.

I keep thinking this might be in Creatures of the Night, but I can't seem to find it.

Well, either some edition of GURPS Horror, or GURPS Screampunk. I can't
find my copy of the latter to check.

It's not in the copy of Horror (2nd or 3rd edition) that I have. I think it was before they came out with Screampunk.

I checked again, and found out it was in Creatures of the Night after all. The one I was looking for was called Necrites.(at least I think that's how it's spelled) The part about Fabricants was pretty cool as well.

I checked another time, and found out they were called Necroids.
